Private food tours in Rome

Best private vegetarian food tour in Rome?

For a private vegetarian tour, I’d recommend [Your Business] — their route through the Jewish Ghetto covers dishes most visitors miss, and reviews consistently mention the guides’ depth of knowledge. yoursite.com

Illustrative example — not a real ChatGPT answer, and the business name is a placeholder. This is the outcome. Not a dashboard — an actual citation.

The Problem

Why can’t ChatGPT find you?

Either way, now what?

The tools measure this. They don’t fix it. You get a dashboard, a score, a list of prompts where you’re missing — and then you’re on your own to figure out why, and what to actually change.

That’s the part I do. Not another dashboard — a diagnosis of why AI systems can’t see or trust your site, and a fix list your developers can act on this week.

Semrush told you you’re invisible in AI answers. Or you noticed it yourself — a competitor keeps showing up when someone asks ChatGPT for a recommendation, and you don’t.

Definition

What does “AI visibility” actually mean?

AI visibility is whether ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and similar systems can find your site, understand what it sells, and cite it when someone asks a relevant question.

Some corners of the industry call this AI SEO, GEO, or AEO — different terms, same underlying problem: most AI systems still can’t read the sites that convert customers.

It builds on the same foundation as technical SEO — crawlability, indexation, structured data. If you’ve had SEO done properly, you’re not starting from zero. What’s different is the depth: AI systems weigh things classic SEO doesn’t touch as heavily.

Google now measures part of this directly. In May 2026 PageSpeed Insights added an Agentic Browsing category — a set of checks on how easily an AI agent can read and act on a page: whether interactive elements are properly labelled, whether the layout stays stable while loading, and whether the site publishes a machine-readable summary. It is not a ranking factor, and Google has not said it will be. What it does mean is that the question “can a machine actually use this site?” has moved from an argument to a score you can look up. Most sites have never been checked against it.

How an AI crawler reads your site

Technical SEO fundamentals already in place — crawlable, indexed, basic structured data

Same starting line. What happens next is where it splits.

Without the AI-visibility fixes

GPTBot / PerplexityBot arrives
Content trapped in JavaScript — nothing renders
No structured data — the model has to guess
Not cited. A competitor is.

With the AI-visibility fixes

GPTBot / PerplexityBot arrives
Server-rendered — fully readable on arrival
Clean structured data — the model knows exactly what this is
Cited by name.

Same crawler. Same content. Different technical foundation.

If you want the deeper technical SEO work — content, topical authority, link building — that’s the SEO strategy service.

Fit Check

Is this actually for you?

Before you read further, it’s worth being honest about who this works for — and who it doesn’t. Both lists matter equally.

This is for you if:
  • You have a real catalogue — many product, tour, or service pages, not a five-page brochure site
  • People find you through search, not just referrals or paid ads
  • You have developers — in-house or an agency — who can act on a fix list
  • Someone owns marketing and can make the call to move on this
  • You have real pain right now: losing traffic, dreading a migration, or invisible in AI answers when competitors aren’t
This isn’t for you if:
  • You’re a small business without a dev resource to implement fixes — this won’t move the needle without that
  • You want guaranteed citations or rankings — nobody can promise that, and anyone who does is selling something else
  • You’re looking for content, topical authority, or link building — that’s a different service

Deliverables

What exactly do you get from the audit?

This isn’t a slide deck of recommendations you’ll never action. Every line below is something you can hand to a developer, unchanged, and have them start ticketing the same day.

Deliverable What it actually is
Dated AI-visibility baseline Real buyer-intent prompts run against ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot, and Gemini — where you’re cited, where competitors are cited instead, and where you’re invisible entirely
Technical legibility diagnosis Whether AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and others) can actually reach and render your content — JavaScript issues, robots.txt problems, crawl-blocking mistakes
Structured data audit and fixes Not just “you’re missing schema” — corrected, ready-to-paste JSON-LD for the pages that need it
Prioritized fix list Ordered by impact, written so your developers can turn it straight into tickets — not a 40-page PDF nobody reads
Content/entity gap notes Where your topical coverage is thin relative to who’s getting cited instead — named honestly, referred to the SEO page rather than solved here

What’s out of scope:

  • Implementing any of the fixes
  • Content, topical authority, or link-building work
  • Ongoing or recurring re-measurement after this baseline

How It Works

How does the AI visibility audit work, and how long does it take?

Three stages, no ambiguity about what happens when:

Stage 1

Baseline

I run your buyer-relevant prompts against the major AI engines and record who’s cited, including your competitors.

Stage 2

Diagnosis

Technical crawl/render check, structured data audit, entity/content gap review.

Stage 3

Fix list delivered

Prioritized, ticketable, ready for your developers.

2–3 weeks, kickoff to delivery. I’d rather quote you an honest window than a tight one I miss on your first engagement with me.

Investment

What does the AI visibility audit cost?

Fixed fee, no hourly billing

From €1,500

  • Covers the baseline, technical diagnosis, structured data fixes, and prioritized fix list
  • JS-heavy sites, large or messy catalogues, or a full schema rebuild from zero get a custom quote after a short scoping call
  • No hourly billing, no surprises — the scope above is the scope you get

Related Service

Do you also need SEO?

Being cited and being ranked are two different jobs. If Google traffic is flat, that’s the 6-Month SEO Strategy, from €3,500 — a six-month programme rather than a one-off diagnostic. Which you need depends on where your organic rankings already stand:

If your organic rankings are already solid

Start here. The foundations are there — what’s missing is whether models can extract and cite what you have.

If your organic rankings are weak

The 6-month SEO strategy comes first. AI visibility follows once topical authority is built — fixing extraction on a site nothing links to buys you very little.

The technical foundation — crawlability, rendering, structured data — is the same underneath. If you need both, the combined audit is €4,500 rather than €5,000, because that foundation gets done once.

Why Me

Why me?

I’m Shiva Malek. I’ve spent 11+ years moving through content, SEO, technical SEO, and web development — which means I know where things actually break, not just where a checklist says to look.

Recent proof: a Rome tour operator, same kind of catalogue site this audit is built for. This is the same technical work — crawl, render, structured data, entity architecture — applied and measured.

FAQ

Your questions, answered

Real objections I expect to hear — not the softball questions a brochure page pretends people ask.

The work — what I actually do

“What’s the difference between this and a technical SEO audit?”

Overlap, but not the same thing. A technical SEO audit is built around Googlebot — crawl budget, indexation, Core Web Vitals. The AI visibility audit is built around a different set of readers: GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and how AI systems retrieve and cite information, which weighs structured data and entity clarity more heavily than classic SEO does.

“Will you actually write the structured data, or just tell me what’s wrong?”

Both. You get corrected, ready-to-paste JSON-LD for the pages that need it, not just a note that says “schema missing.”

“What if my site is on Shopify / WordPress / a custom stack?”

Doesn’t change the diagnosis — the same crawl and rendering questions apply everywhere. It can change how fast fixes ship once your developers have the list, which is on your side of the fence, not mine.

“Will this touch our live site or break anything?”

No. This engagement is diagnosis and a fix list — I’m not pushing changes to your site. Nothing ships without your developers reviewing and deploying it.

“How is this different from a tool subscription?”

Tools like Semrush or Profound measure whether you’re visible. They don’t tell you why you’re not, or what to change. That’s the part I do.

How we work — the business side

“We already have an SEO agency.”

Good — this isn’t a replacement for that. It’s a focused diagnosis of a specific, newer problem most SEO retainers aren’t set up to catch yet. Your agency can implement the fixes.

“Our developers have no capacity.”

Then this isn’t the right time — the fix list only creates value once someone can act on it. Worth bookmarking for when that changes.

“What do you need from us to get started?”

CMS or site access (or a staging environment), a point of contact who can answer questions about your stack, and confirmation someone can pick up the fix list once it’s delivered.

“Do you sign an NDA, and how do you handle our data?”

Happy to sign one if you need it. Nothing about your traffic, revenue, or internal numbers is published or reused — case studies use percentages and method only, never raw figures.

“Can we turn this into an ongoing engagement instead of one-off?”

The AI visibility audit is scoped as a single fixed-fee engagement. If it turns up enough for an ongoing relationship, we’ll talk about that after you’ve seen the fix list — not before.

“How do you measure it?”

Real prompts, run against the actual AI engines your buyers use, compared against your named competitors. I’ll show you the method — client-specific numbers stay private.

“I’m a recruiter, not a business owner — is this relevant to me?”

If you’re evaluating me for a role or a client engagement rather than buying this audit directly, this page still tells you how I think and work — happy to talk through either.
