What do I actually do?
I make websites legible to the systems that decide whether anyone finds them — Google’s crawler, and the AI systems people now ask instead of Google. In practice that means three kinds of work: diagnosing why a site isn’t cited in AI answers from ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot and Gemini; diagnosing and planning why a site doesn’t rank in organic search; and building small business websites that are technically sound from launch instead of retro-fitted a year later. All of it is fixed-fee, scoped in writing before it starts, and priced from €1,500. I don’t run marketing campaigns, produce content, or manage ads.

The difference
What’s the difference between SEO and AI visibility?
They overlap in the plumbing and diverge completely in the goal. The short version: SEO is about being ranked; AI visibility is about being cited.

Fixing one often helps the other — a site a model can’t read is usually a site Google reads badly too. But they are not the same job, and I won’t sell you one and quietly deliver the other. If you want both, the combined audit exists for exactly that.

How do you work?
The terms, in advance
- Fixed fee, never hourly. Hourly billing pays me to be slow. You get a scope and a number in writing before anything starts.
- The price is published. All of it, on every page. A price you have to ask for is a price that changes depending on how you sound on the call.
- You’re dealing with one person. No team, no account manager, no junior doing the work under my name.
- I diagnose and build. I don’t run marketing. No content production, no paid ads, no social media, no campaigns.
- Scope changes get re-quoted, not absorbed. Quietly absorbing scope is how this work gets underpriced and how deadlines slip.
- Remote by default. Porto-based, working across Europe. Calls and email; almost nothing about this work needs a room.

Who am I?
Shiva Malek — AI Visibility & Technical SEO Consultant, based in Porto, Portugal.
I work on the technical layer: whether a site can be crawled, rendered, understood and attributed by search engines and by AI systems. That’s a narrower job than most people in this field claim, and the narrowness is the point.
The clearest example is a tour operator in Rome whose pages I rebuilt — bookings up 89%, revenue up 115%, and pages now cited by ChatGPT and Google’s AI Mode.

Questions people ask before getting in touch
Which one should I start with?
If you don’t know, start with the call — it’s free and it’s usually a ten-minute answer. As a rule: if the trigger was noticing that AI answers name your competitors, start with the AI Visibility Audit. If it was traffic or rankings sliding, start with SEO. If you don’t have a website worth optimising yet, start there.
Are you an agency?
No. One person. That’s a genuine limit — I take on a small number of engagements at a time, and if I’m booked I’ll say so rather than queue you. It’s also why there’s no account manager between you and the work.
What does it cost to work with you?
Everything starts at €1,500 and every price is on the service page, not behind a form. What moves a price is scope: site size, number of markets or languages, JavaScript-heavy rendering, and turnaround.
Will you implement the fixes, or just tell me what’s wrong?
The audits are diagnostic — corrected schema is included in the AI Visibility Audit, but broader deployment is separate work, quoted separately. If you have no developer, say so on the call; it changes what I’d recommend you buy.
Do you do monthly retainers?
Not currently. Every service here is a fixed-scope engagement with an end. If you want ongoing work after one finishes, ask me then — but I don’t sell it upfront.
Do you work with agencies, or only direct clients?
Both. Some of this work arrives through agencies who don’t have technical SEO in-house. I don’t white-label or pretend to be your team, but I’m happy to work alongside one and hand deliverables to your developers.
Do you work outside Portugal?
Yes. Porto-based, remote across Europe. Almost none of this work has ever needed me in the same room.
